Why Become A Pet Tech Pet Instructor?
There are over 85 million pets in the United States whose families see them not as “just animals,” but as beloved companions—true members of the family.
The sudden loss of one of these pets is heartbreaking. But what makes it even more devastating is knowing their life might have been saved—if only the right first aid skills had been applied in those crucial moments.

Welcome To The Pet Tech Pet CPR And First Aid Program!
💡 Did you know?
According to the American Animal Hospital Association, 25% more pets could have been saved if just one pet first aid technique had been applied before reaching the veterinarian.
And when it comes to heart attacks?
Only 1 in 10 pets survive—unless CPR is performed before veterinary care.
🔥 The question is…
👉 What side of those percentages do you want to be on?
How many pets could be saved—hundreds, thousands—if more pet owners and professionals had the confidence to act quickly with proven first aid skills?
How many pets could heal faster, with less pain, because help came immediately, competently, and calmly?

Hi, I’m Mary Oquendo, and this is my story.
Binngo was a sweet 9-year-old Maltese with a known heart condition. His veterinarian had cleared him for grooming, but during his appointment, he suffered a heart attack on my table. Despite rushing him to the vet, Binngo didn’t survive.
I had taken a pet first aid class six years earlier—yet in that critical moment, I couldn’t remember what to do. It was the most helpless I’ve ever felt in my grooming career.
The very next day, I searched for a local pet first aid class. There were none. Even upcoming trade shows weren’t offering training. By pure chance, I discovered an instructor program two hours south of me. I signed up—terrified of public speaking, but determined that no other groomer should ever feel as powerless as I did.
That was over 20 years ago. Since then, I’ve taught thousands of students across the country. And today, I’m here to help you learn the skills that can save a pet’s life.
Because no groomer, no pet professional, and no pet parent should ever feel the helplessness I felt with Binngo.
